We’ve been Googled. Again.

The Google show rolled into Lowe Sydney again today, with the second in a series of innovation workshops. This time the team impressed us with a range of mobile technology and innovation such as Near Field Communication, Google Translate, Ad Mob solutions and more. Thanks for another inspiring visit and introducing us to the meme phenomena that is “Unboxing”.

Lowe Sydney takes over Continental

Unilever has appointed us to handle the entire Continental foods and soup business in Australia. We’ll be looking after the iconic Cup-a-Soup brand and all of Continental’s meal creation products.

Continental competes against MasterFoods, Nestlé and Campbell’s. Known as Knorr in many other markets, it’s one of the largest brands in Unilever’s worldwide business. Unilever is planning very aggressive growth for Continental in Australia, and we’re honoured to be helping create that growth.

Ich bin ein Sydneysider

For the past 3 months, our Sydney office has enjoyed the presence of an international man of mystery: Michael Weinberger.

Michael works in our Berlin office (Scholz & Friends GmbH) as a ‘Co-operative Student’ which, despite the name, doesn’t mean they just do what they’re told! It’s more like an advertising apprenticeship, where students divide their time between university study and work experience at an ad agency.

And we’re glad to have him around. One of the strengths of Lowe is the quality of our worldwide network, so we feel it’s important to foster talent within it.

Since landing in Sydney, Michael has had the opportunity to learn new skills, practice his English and break more than a few hearts…
